Being sworn in by Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict, Kristyn Pendergrass is working part time as a corrections officer with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office. She completed the Clallam County Employee Orientation on March 1 and four weeks of field training in the county’s corrections facility. She attended a state corrections officer academy session at the Washington Criminal Justice Training Center May 3-28. Completing Class 411, she earned the second-highest score for the session. She holds a college degree as a dental assistant and has completed courses in criminal justice.
