Sequim FFA, tractor project in national competition

Five Sequim School District FFA (Future Farmers of America) students have put in more than 300 hours restoring a 1954 Farmall tractor this past school year.

They are entered in a national competition in which all of their work be documented, so they created a video of the project.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 12, through Wednesday, Sept. 14, all video entries can be viewed on the DeloTractor Restoration Competition website at: http://delotractorrestorationcompetition.com/default.aspx

The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite video project.  The video with the most votes wins the video portion of the contest.

You can vote as many times as you want.  Last year’s winner had a little more than 4,000 votes.  This is the first time Sequim, or any school in Washington state, has entered this contest.

“We want to show how proud we are of the students in our Sequim FFA program, and all their hard work,” said Kristi Short, Sequim High School FFA advisor.
