The city of Sequim is looking for volunteers to help it and others on Saturday, Sept. 11, for the 9/11 National Service Day.
City officials are looking for help with tasks such as installing bike racks, painting fire hydrants, park benches and buildings.
"We’ll take all the help we can get," said Karen Kuznek-Reese, city clerk.
"It’s not just limited to helping the city but also neighbors and people in need."
So far, more than 100 people from the Sequim Boys & Girls Club and the Sequim Church of Latter-day Saints have committed to volunteer.
To volunteer or for more information, call Kuznek-Reese at 683-4139 or visit Sequim City Hall, 152 W. Cedar St.
