“Powerful Tools for the Caregiver,” an extensive six-week course, will be provided again this fall by two local churches.
These free classes will be presented from 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 14-Oct. 19, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 815 W. Washington St., in Sequim.
They also will be presented from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 11-Nov. 15, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim. The course is free but a $30 textbook is required for either session.
The classes will teach caregivers how to stay healthy and take care of themselves while caring long-term for family members or friends.
They do not teach how to be a caregiver and are not for professional caregivers.
The registration deadline for the Wednesday, September/October classes is Sept. 6 and the registrar is Wanda Bean, rawbean80@hotmail.com. Carolyn Lindley will lead this series and she can be reached at 683-5294 for more information.
The registration deadline for the Tuesday, October/November classes is Oct. 4. For more information about these classes or to register, contact leaders Judy Croonquist at 582-1370 or Barb Parse at 683-2113.
Class sizes are limited for both sessions.
