Cathy Lucero, Clallam County Noxious Weed Control coordinator, presents ideas to help gardeners design their gardens to save time and energy weeding at noon Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Clallam County Courthouse.

Lucero will provide tips to prevent weeds from growing and share ideas that people have for low maintenance yards and gardens integrating weed reduction practices into sustainable gardening practices. The presentation is from noon-1 p.m. at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, and is free and open to the public. Call 417-2279.
