About 40 people attended a kick-off session for strategic planning for the Sequim School District’s six-year plan, held at Sequim’s Transit Center on March 30.

About half the participants were community members, the other half school district personnel. Event organizers say 22 community organizations were invited to participate in this process.

The next meeting is at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, April 13.

In all, there are seven meetings scheduled through June and results will be presented to the board at the July school board meeting.
