Chamber luncheons set for January
The Sequim-Dungeness Chamber of Commerce hosts two luncheons per month featuring guest speakers. The Jan. 9 luncheon is hosted by KWA and features Kevin Hoult, a certified business adviser with the North Peninsula Small Business Development Council, who offers “Notify, Comply and Verify: Three things you must know about I-1433 in 2018.” On Jan. 23, head Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis gives “An Update from Olympic Medical Center” at a lunch sponsored by Pacific Office Equipment.
Chamber luncheons are at 11:45 a.m. at Sunland Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Dr. Cost is $17 for chamber members, $20 for non-members, $5 for coffee/tea. Call 360-683-6197 or email to info@sequimchamber.com.
7 Cedars sets remodel, new restaurant
With the start of a new year, 7 Cedars Casino has begun a major remodel of its lobby, gift shop and specific dining venue areas. Construction will include the relocation of the gift shop, new floor tile, new unisex bathrooms and a new private dining area available for larger groups and gatherings.
The existing Salish Room Restaurant will be transformed in to the casino’s newest dining venue, The House of Seven Brothers. Construction is slated to be completed by late spring 2018.
During construction, all other dining venues — the Totem Bar & Grille, Napolis Stone-Fired Cuisine & Deli and The RainForest Bar — as well as all gaming and entertainment venues will remain open.
After nearly 23 years of food service, the Salish Room Restaurant closed Dec. 31.

Retirement, new owners at Best Friend Nutrition
After 14+ years of growth and success serving the pet parents of Clallam County, Hope and Jim Williams announced last week the sale of their business, Best Friend Nutrition, to Cynthia and Casey Linden, as of December 2017.
The Williamses are retiring in February 2018 after helping with the transition of ownership.
Cynthia Linden has 11 years of natural pet supply management and leadership with the Mud Bay and Pet Pros retail pet supply chains in the Seattle area. She also has a bachelor’s degree in zoology and various trainings focusing on dog and cat physiology, nutrition and behavior.
The Lindens now call Sequim their home after moving in September.
