[Update] Pedestrian dies of injuries after being struck by car

A Sequim pedestrian was hit by a Sequim driver at 6:26 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, at the intersection of Fifth Ave. and Hendrickson Road.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Noreen Iliff, 58, was traveling south on Fifth Avenue in her 1997 Buick when she struck Gloria Irwin, 88, who was traveling west on Hendrickson Road — not in a crosswalk.

Irwin sustained a broken leg and head injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

King County Medical Examiner reported to Sequim Police Department and Washington State Patrol that Irwin passed away at 9:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4.
