The Olympic Area Agency on Aging’s Information and Assistance office has moved to a new location. Community members are invited to help staff celebrate during an open house from 1-4 p.m. on Friday Oct. 4, at 609 W. Washington St., Suite. 16.

To help celebrate the new location, a Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 1:15 p.m. by chamber ambassadors, followed by tours, refreshments and door prizes. Among the staff members welcoming guests will be Direct Services Director Mark Harvey and Marge Stewart, Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors Coordinator, both of whom are retiring at the end of the year.

The public is invited to visit the Olympic Area Agency on Aging’s new office to get information about services and meet staff members from several other in-house programs such as case management, the Family Caregiver Support Program and the Long Term Care Ombudsmen Program.

The Olympic Area Agency on Aging (O3A) serves Clallam and Jefferson Counties with offices in Forks, Sequim and Port Townsend, as well as Aberdeen, Raymond and Long Beach in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties in the southern portion of the Olympic Peninsula.

Information and Assistance offers free consultations and assistance for families who are caring for older loved ones and adults older than 18 with disabilities who may need help:

• Accessing a wide range of support services

• Navigating through Medicaid programs

• Planning and making long-term care decisions
