Olympic Medical Center leaders honored seven employees at a board of commissioners meeting in March, giving kudos to staff in the center’s credentialing and financial divisions.

Among those honored were: Stacy Remick, credentialing, contracting and reimbursement analyst, patient financial services; Sally Rowland, certified credentialing specialist, medical staff services, and Marisa Bleck, credentialing specialist, medical staff services. They were lauded for working together to achieve delegated credentialing status, which means the health plans accept Olympic Medical’s approved credentialing requirements and audits annually.

“The work of our credentialing specialists is a great example of innovation and optimizing efficiencies in alignment with our strategic plan,” Chief Medical Officer Scott Kenned said.

Also honored were financial analysts Lauren McElwain and Jillian Jenkins, assistant treasurer Mika Nel, and accountant Shellie Hunter, “for being a team that works well together and has a culture based on high standards and respect,” OMC representatives said.

In addition to finalizing financial reports each month, Olympic Medical’s finance staff excel at statistical financial reporting, budgeting, audit support, cost report preparation, property management, cash deposit reconciliations and department-level support across the organization, OMC leaders said.
