Ballots mailed for general election

Ballots were mailed to 46,917 active registered voters in Clallam County on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Additionally, 547 ballots were mailed or e-mailed to Clallam County overseas and military voters on Sept. 18.
Any voter who does not receive a ballot in the mail by Tuesday, Oct. 20, should contact the auditor’s office at 417-2221 or in person at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Ste. 1, Port Angeles, to verify their address information.
Any person who wishes to vote, but is not currently registered in Washington, can come to the courthouse and register in person until Oct. 26.
Voted ballots must be returned by mail bearing a postmark no later than Nov. 3 or placed in a ballot drop box no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Ballot drop boxes are located at:
• Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles
• District Court 2 lobby, 502 E. Division St., Forks
• Sequim Village Shopping Center (in front of JCPenney)
The Clallam County Local Voters’ Pamphlet can be found inside the State of Washington Voters’ Pamphlet which will be mailed this week to all households in the county. It contains candidate statements and biographical information, as well as arguments for and against ballot measures. The same material also is available in the Online Voters’ Guide at www.clallam.net/elections.
Additional information about the election also can be obtained from local newspapers, radio stations and candidate forums.
