Health fair set for Saturday

The Sequim Free Clinic hosts a free Community Health Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, around the back of the building at Sequim Medical Plaza, 77 N. Fifth Ave.

The event features: blood pressure and blood sugar checks; cooking demonstrations with Monica Dixon; a smoothie bike, courtesy of the Olympic Peninsula Healthy Community Coalition; car seat safety checks and bike safety, courtesy of Sequim Police Department; yoga with Shelley Stratton, and tours of the clinic.

The organization suspended its annual fun walk and health fair for the last couple of years because of the COVID pandemic and didn’t have time to gear up for a full fun walk this year, clinic representatives said, so instead are hosting the health fair.
