The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is offering storytime sessions at all four of its North Olympic Peninsula branches, from January through April.

Sessions include stories, music, rhymes and plenty of movement and fun, organizers say. Activities such as talking, reading, playing and singing all play an important role in early childhood development, they note.

At the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., storytimes are held the first Saturday of the month, January-March, and every Tuesday, March 14-April 25.

From 9:30-10 a.m. on Jan. 7, enjoy “Hibernation Storytime,” as participants read, sing, play and talk about winter sleepiness and animals that hibernate.

From 9:30-10 a.m. on Feb. 4, Sequim hosts “Cozy Up Storytime. Attendees are encouraged to come in their comfiest pajamas and get ready for some snuggly Saturday morning early literacy skill building and fun.

From 930-10 a.m. on March 4, it’s “Bee Storytime. ” Welcome the spring with tales of flowers, bees, and other colorful and lively things.

Storytimes shift to Tuesdays, March 14 and April 25 (rain or shine), from 10:30-11 a.m. in the field behind the library.

In Port Angeles, storytimes are Jan. 3-April 28 and include Preschool Storytime from 10:30-11 a.m. on Tuesdays, Baby Storytime from 9:30-10 a.m. on Fridays, and Toddler Storytime from 10:30-11 a.m. on Fridays. Each of these sessions are in the Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Forks Library hosts Family Storytime every Saturday of the month except for first Saturdays from 10:30-11 a.m., as well as Spanish/English Bilingual Family Storytime from 10:30-11 a.m. on the first Saturday of the month, Jan. 7-April 29.

Clallam Bay’s library hosts Family Storytime on the last Thursday of the month (Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 30 and April 27), from 10:30-11 a.m.
