A Sequim woman suffered injuries in a two-car collision Sunday at Kitchen-Dick Road and U.S. Highway 101.
State Patrol troopers said a Chrysler Sebring driven by Vicki Busbea, 65, of Sequim, had mechanical issues when it failed to stop at the intersection.
Busbea was driving southbound on Kitchen-Dick Road at 11:55 a.m. when she failed to stop at the stop sign on Highway 101, crashing into a Subaru Outback driven by Kayana Harrison, 54, of Sequim, according to a state patrol collision memo. Harrison was driving westbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
Both cars were totaled and Harrison was transported to Olympic Medical Center as a precaution in case of injuries. Busbea was not injured, troopers said.
The roadway was partially blocked for about 25 minutes.
