Merchants group meets

A merchants group meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Museum & Arts Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim.

The meeting will focus on the Downtown Plan Status, Merchants Street Fair/Irrigation Festival, Sequim Community Playfields Day, and the Lavender Festival.

Costco representatives will offer refreshments.

M.V. Coho resumes service Feb. 11

Black Ball Ferry Line has extended the M.V. Coho’s annual maintenance break through Feb. 10. Regular service resumes Friday, Feb. 11, with the

IHOP closes for house work

IHOP, 1360 W. Washington St., Sequim, will be closed Monday-Wednesday, Feb. 14-16, due to back of the house floor warranty work. The restaurant will be open on Thursday, Feb. 17, for regular business hours. Call 683-2363.

Credit and debt workshop offered

A free workshop, “Credit & Debt,” runs from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 132 E. 13th St., Port Angeles. Part of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans “More than Money Matters,” series, the workshop covers understanding, reducing and keeping track of different types of debt. Presented by Stephen Moser, financial associate with Thrivent.

Child care is available. A complimentary soup supper will be served.

Facebook class

The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Business Retention & Expansion Committee presents a “Sequim Business Friends & Followers” workshop Thursday, Feb. 17, at the chamber office, 1192 E. Washington St., Sequim.

The class discusses what to know about advertising on Facebook, what “fans” are and how to attract them, and how to determine what is shared and who receives it.

A social time begins at 5:30 p.m.

The workshop begins at 6 p.m. Technical assistance from the experts follows at 7:30 p.m.
