Free digital help for businesses available

All North Olympic Peninsula businesses interested in adding or improving one’s “digital storefront” are invited to take advantage of free ecommerce technical advising offered by the North Olympic Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development Council (NODC).

Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s supplemental CARES act funding, any business that has experienced a COVID related drop in business can expand their outreach and operations through free website or social media enhancements.

Interested businesses can find more information on NODC’s website at noprcd.org/ecommerce-assistance.

Complete a Business Assistance Request form and return it to susan@noprcd.org.

To make an appointment, email business assistance specialist Susan Shoemaker at susan@noprcd.org.

WeDo Fudge opens for season May 1

WeDo Fudge, Sequim’s drive-thru fudge and prayer stand at 11 Valley Center Place, reopens for the season starting Saturday, May 1.

This year’s drive-thru hours will be noon-5 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday.

Located about 100 yards south of U.S. Highway 101 on Hooker Road in Carlsborg, WeDo Fudge contributes each year to a local group; in 2020, the business donated to Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County (habitatclallam.org) and The Love Home in Sequim (thelovhome.org).

The business is accepting applications for charitable giving for 2021. Get an application at wedofudge.com/drive-thru.html, email to christina@wedofudge.com or stop by the drive-thru.

Peninsula dealership gets CarGurus award

Price Ford Lincoln, a Port Angeles-based vehicle dealership, announced April 14 that it has received the honor of being named a 2021 CarGurus Top Rated Dealer.

Awards are given to car dealerships that have a 4.5-star average rating or higher and at least five verified customer reviews submitted on the CarGurus platform in the last year, according to a CarGurus press release.

CarGurus uses verified dealership ratings along with other factors like pricing analytics to help shoppers search for a deal on a vehicle.

“Providing excellent customer service is central to our business; we are honored to be named a CarGurus Top Rated Dealer in 2021,” general sales manager Mark Ostroot said.
