What’s New at the Market: Celebrate the season with local bounty, festivities

Get ready for Thanksgiving with the freshest local produce available at the Sequim Farmers & Artisans Market! As the holiday season approaches, our dedicated community farmers are busy harvesting a delightful array of colorful winter squash, crispy Brussels sprouts, aromatic fresh herbs, and a variety of root vegetables — all just in time to elevate your holiday feasts.

Join us for the November Winter Market festivities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St. The plaza will be transformed into a vibrant town square, featuring favorite local farmers and artisans. Explore an abundance of offerings, from delicious local foods to functional home goods, crafts, jewelry, textiles, art and woodwork among many other treasures.

The market is your one-stop shop to make local produce the star of your holiday gatherings. Whether you’re searching for stocking-stuffers or eye-catching centerpieces, SFAM is your go-to source for unique local gifts and a place to celebrate the richness of our community.

In addition to an exciting shopping experience, the market has some special activities lined up for you. Enjoy live music from Ranger and the Re-Arrangers, a Seattle “Gypsy Jazz” band that will transport you to a Parisian café with their Hot Club Swing vibes and Romani campsite energy. Swing, clap, and tap your toes to their renditions of swing standards, traditional European melodies, Django Reinhardt classics, and Ranger’s original compositions.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting puppet show “Bellica and the New Friend,” presented by storyteller Ginny Holladay and Fabulists Fables. Join the adventure and explore a magical world, interact with the story, and engage with your emotions. Fabulist Fables specializes in cultivating emotional intelligence through elaborate storytelling mediums and delicate whimsy, with Bellica, a lovable fabric and fluff puppet.

Don’t forget to bundle up and invite your family and friends to this fantastic opportunity to support our local growers and artisans while celebrating the essence of autumn, Sequim-style — coming together as a community.
