OTA workshops

Olympic Theatre Arts’ Larry Harwood will hold a workshop on directing from 2-4 p.m. Sundays March 14 and March 21 in the Caldwell Theatre at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim. Fee is $10. At the same time, actor/singer Penny Pemberton will teach stage make-up and hair styling in OTA’S green room. Call 683-7326 with name, e-mail and phone number, requesting her workshop. She will respond on what to bring besides a check for $10 payable to OTA.

Best friend class

Anne Marie Polich teaches "Becoming Your Own Best Friend," a six-week class, beginning 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Center for Infinite Reflections, 144 Tripp Road, Sequim. The class includes guided imagery, writing practice, sharing writings, creating actions and committing to values. It costs $75. Call 303-710-0207.

Frame center display

Karon’s Frame Center in Port Angeles has gathered client and staff shadowboxes for a show for March. It displays things people cherish and shop’s creativity and framing skill. Two of the pieces won prizes in the Evergreen Picture Framer’s Guild competition.

Sea star lecture

Philip Lambert, curator emeritus at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, speaks about "Spiny-skinned Animals of the Pacific Northwest" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at the Feiro Marine Life Center on the Port Angeles City Pier at the north end of Lincoln Street. His illustrated talk on the shallow water echinoderms of the area emphasizes local sea stars.
