‘Hats for Heritage’ show set for Jan. 25

The Clallam County Historical Society presents an afternoon of food, fun hat fashions and a silent auction at its Hats for Heritage luncheon and style show fundraiser.

The event is from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Elks Naval Lodge, 131 E. First St., Port Angeles.

Historical society volunteers step out in stylish hats from the 1880s through the 1960s. Learn about the hats and what was taking place nationally and locally at this “fashion show with a past.”

Silent auction items have been donated by Baby Grand, Aramark/Lake Crescent Lodge and Kokopelli’s.

Individuals are donating a Schiaparelli hat and a copy of the Jimmy Come Lately. A photo from the society’s collection is courtesy of PixelPerfect and Karon’s Frame Shop.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the Elks or the historical society.

Tickets are $20 for historical society and Elks members and $25 for non-members.

All those attending are encouraged to wear a hat.
