Locals looking for a unique Valentine’s Day gift can do so and support Sequim schools at the same time.
Olympic Peninsula Academy is offering “Sweetheart Takeout Meals” to be picked up in the Sequim High School parking lot, 601 N. Sequim Ave., between 3:30-4:0 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14. Pacific Pantry, a locally owned deli, will be cooking up the meals and donating their time, so each meal raises funds for the school.
Each meal serves two people. The menu includes linguica sausage, potato, kale soup, mixed green salad with roasted beets and goat cheese, focaccia bread and heart-shaped chocolate dipped macaroons. Soup is chilled; to be reheated at home.
Pre-orders are due by Monday, Jan. 31.
Order via Venmo — search “OPA Otters” (code 4015) — and make $40 payment, note the number of meals, then pick up on Feb. 14 at Sequim High School.
To place an order via check or cash, email to opaptootters@gmail.com.
Individuals can also get meals on the day of the event without pre-ordering; organizers say they will have on-demand orders available.
