There is a fascinating world beneath the surface of the Dungeness River. Under the River Rocks is a hands-on adult nature journaling class that will take place on Tuesday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dungeness River Nature Center’s Rainshadow Hall, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road.
This unique program invites participants to slow down, observe, and connect with the hidden insect life that thrives beneath river rocks. Taught by local artist and instructor Robert Amaral, the class combines a natural history lesson with guided art instruction, followed by time along the river to sketch, paint, and journal what you discover.
All skill levels are welcome, whether you are new to nature journaling or looking to deepen your existing practice.
Registration is required. Cost is $65 for River Center members, $75 for non-members.
