Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County offers monthly orientations for those interested in volunteering with the organization — on the first Thursday of every month in Sequim and the first Friday of every month in Port Angeles.
April sessions are scheduled for 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 4, in Sequim (call 360-775-7806 for location), and 10-11 a.m.
Friday, April 5, at 810 S. Albert St., Port Angeles.
Volunteer positions are available to fit one’s schedule and talents, and training is available. Participants can choose from a variety of service areas: patient visits, equipment delivery, tech assistance, event coordinator, website developer, graphic designer, public presenter, grant writer and more.
Providing end-of-life nursing care, lending medical equipment and supplies, offering education programs, grief support groups, one-on-one bereavement services and practical workshops on living alone, Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County does not charge for services.
