Despite not being able to host its flagship fundraiser this year, Sequim Bay Yacht Club members were able to collect and donate $18,128 this year to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

Since the first race in 1991, the yacht club has raised more than $400,000.

All funds are earmarked for the respite fund for patients and family members of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Port Angeles that provides compassionate care to the terminally ill, their caregivers and families.

The organization does not bill any patient, insurance plan or government agency with all services supported by local donations and grants.

All donations are tax deductible.
