The Olympic Medical Center Auxiliary recently held its “wish list” ceremony in which needed equipment is distributed to departments throughout Olympic Medical Center.
Three Olympic Medical Center departments received a total of $14,359 for equipment from the OMC Auxiliary. The auxiliary also presented three $1,500 scholarships to local medical students.
“I am very appreciative of the auxiliary’s support of the medical center and their efforts to help us purchase needed medical equipment,” said Eric Lewis, OMC chief executive officer.
“Our auxiliary members and volunteer group are tremendously valued assets for our organization and we are thankful for their efforts and donations.”
Malcolm Alexander, president of the OMC Auxiliary, presented the following “Wish List” awards:
• Short Stay Unit: A Welch Allyn vital sign machine with stand, a value of $2,764
• Intensive Care Unit: A blanket warmer, a value of $5,416
• Pharmacy: Baxa repeater pump, a value of $6,179
The auxiliary raises funds for OMC through a variety of fundraisers and its gift shop in the hospital lobby.
