Catch an asteroid at next Science Café

Local aerospace engineer is Feb. 11 speaker

Duane Jensen, an aerospace engineer with 45 years of experience, is the featured speaker at the Feb. 11 Science Café, hosted by the Sequim Education Foundation.

Jensen’s engineering background includes commercial and military aircraft, strategic and tactical missiles, military satellites, Mach 20 re-entry vehicles and several stealth programs.

His Science Café presentation is titled “Working with NASA to Capture an Asteroid.”

Jensen has published seven technical papers and has six patents, and owns an aerospace consulting business.

The Science Café is a community service of Sequim Education Foundation. Programs present expert speakers for adult and young adult audiences interested in current developments in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Science Café events are held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Paradise Cafe. Admission is free and food and beverages are available for purchase.
