Michael Cyrus Grieb – Grieb, 19, transient, was charged Sept. 21 with one count of second-degree theft. According to court records, Grieb allegedly stole a wallet with three debit cards on Sept. 12 and used one.

Karma Regina Gott – Gott, aka Earley, 37, Sequim, signed a diversion agreement related to one count of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree theft.

Brian Jed Lee – Lee, 49, Sequim, will be evaluated at Western State Hospital following an evaluation at Peninsula Community Mental Health. Lee was charged Sept. 11 with third-degree assault: nurse, physician or health care worker. According to court records, Lee allegedly assaulted an EMT on Sept. 8 while being treated. He is being held in the Clallam County jail on charges of third-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Erik August Hanson – Hanson, 33, Forks, had his trial date reset to Nov. 16 with his next court appearance on Oct. 8. Hanson was charged April 28 with two counts of communication with a minor for immoral purposes. According to court records, Hanson communicated with a minor for "immoral purposes of a sexual nature" from June 25 to Aug. 18, 2008 and from Aug. 29 to Oct. 10, 2008.

Russell Jeffrey Rees – Rees, 35,

Sequim, was sentenced Sept. 22 on one count of indecent liberties, a Class B felony, and one count of second-degree incest, a Class C felony.

He will serve 34 months in prison on both counts, be on probation for up to four years, have no contact with the victim, have no contact with females younger than 18 except as approved by the Department of Corrections, not use alcohol or visit bars, pay for the victim’s counseling costs, allow home visits to assure compliance and pay $1,250 in fines and court costs plus restitution.

Rees pleaded guilty Aug. 14. The charges originate from a pornographic video found at Rees’ Sequim home when Clallam County Sheriff’s deputies were looking for information regarding his molestation charge.

It showed a 39-year-old Sequim woman (Gail Elaine Smith), a 9-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman in sexually explicit acts.

Smith’s sentencing is set for Oct. 8. She pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Dismissed as part of the plea bargain were charges of first-degree child molestation, second-degree incest (victim younger than 14) and dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
