Anglers to meet in Sequim
Puget Sound Anglers North Olympic Peninsula Chapter will host an open-to-the-public general meeting on Wednesday, April 16 at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Rd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7.
Brett Rosson will speak on Fish Northwest, which is dedicated to the conservation of wild Puget Sound salmon and the restoration of fair, sustainable fishing opportunities for Washington’s anglers, families, and fishing-dependent businesses.
Puget Sound Anglers believe the future of recreational fishing hinges on two key priorities: recovering wild salmon populations and producing hatchery fish through science-based management.
Following the presentation, there will be a short business meeting, fishing reports and raffle drawings. Raffles are for members only, but those who join that night can participate. An annual individual membership is $25 and a family membership is $35. Membership also includes The Reel News monthly newspaper.
Sequim Cares cancels April meeting
Sequim Cares will not meet Thursday, April 17 because it is Maundy Thursday, a High Holy Day for many Christians. The group will meet as usual in May. Those with questions can email Mike Flynn at flynnconsult@att.net.
Sequim Cares is a coalition of representatives from Sequim-area faith groups and nonprofits with the goal of helping solve local homelessness issues.
