‘It Can’t Happen Here’
Indivisible Sequim will host a radio-style theatrical production of “It Can’t Happen Here,” a cautionary tale from Sinclair Lewis’ 1935 novel about the fragility of democracy, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Discussions will follow each production. There is no charge to attend, but donations will be accepted.
SHS choirs to hold fundraiser
The Sequim High School choirs, both Vocal Ensemble and Select Choir, will hold a “Pasta & Performance” fundraising dinner on Saturday, Jan. 31 to help fund their trip to California in May to participate in a competition.
The dinner will be held in the cafeteria at Sequim High School from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Dinner includes a choice of three types of pastas and sauces along with salad, bread and dessert. There will be a dessert auction, and music provided by members of the choir throughout the evening, including group performances and solos.
Tickets are $50 each and are available through the school’s website or choir students.
Veterans assistance
The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5 office located at the Sequim Museum administration building, 544 N. Sequim Ave., is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday to serve all veterans with claims and information.
Veterans do not have to be a member of the DAV to receive assistance.

Camp registrations open
The YMCA’s Spring Break Camp and Summer Camp registrations open Saturday, Jan. 17. This year, the Y is rolling out all new camp offerings including week-long specialty camps throughout the school breaks.
