If you are a regular customer at Hurricane Coffee, 104 W. Washington St., you may have encountered a smiling young woman named Raelynn Lawson. In fact, she may have memorized your favorite order.

How long have you worked at Hurricane Coffee?

“I have worked at Hurricane for two years. I am the weekend supervisor. I order our baked goods for the weekend and make sure we’re stocked. I do also do some house cleanings on the side.”

What do you enjoy about working there?

“I really enjoy all the people I’ve met while working here and the interactions I have, and I love the people I work with. I enjoy getting to know my regulars and remembering their drinks. I do feel that I interact with a lot of Sequim residents.”

What are your interests/hobbies?

“I really love spending time with friends and my dog. I’ll walk my dog and go on adventures. I really like taking care of my houseplants.”

How would you describe your hometown?

“I think of Sequim as a very beautiful and peaceful town.”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

“I see myself moving away and exploring the world in five years.”
