Looking a lot like Christmas

Hometown Holidays features Santa, live music, tractor parade

Santa received a warm welcome when he arrived at Centennial Place in downtown Sequim on an antique fire truck driven by Clallam County Fire District 3 Battalion Chief Chris Turner on Saturday, Nov. 29, as part of Sequim’s annual Hometown Holidays celebration.

The event — which coincided with Small Business Saturday, a day to support local businesses during the holiday shopping season — is organized every year by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce with help from the City of Sequim, local merchants, volunteers such as Emily Westcott and Captain Crystal Stout, and many others.

Santa listened to the Christmas wishes of little ones and posed for photos with them by the community Christmas tree. Members of Sequim’s 2025 Irrigation Festival Royalty were also on hand for photo-ops.

Live music was provided by Sequim City Band, Juan de Fuca Harmony, Olympic Brass, and At Large with Amanda Bacon and Todd Ortloff.

The lights on the tree were illuminated at dusk, and the day of fun culminated with the popular Lighted Tractor Parade organized by Sequim Museum and Arts through downtown Sequim.
