Superior Court

Michael B. Johnson – Johnson, 44, Port Angeles, was charged Dec. 8 with one count each of delivery of marijuana, possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia. According to court records, Johnson allegedly was found with prescription narcotics and a marijuana pipe on him Nov. 30 when he came to the Sequim Police Department to ask about volunteering. He allegedly told officers he had smoked marijuana that morning and admitted to selling and giving away prescription drugs and trading them for marijuana. His trial was set for March 1, 2010, with his next court appearance on Jan. 28.

Tanya Rae Gardner – Gardner, 36, Sequim, was charged Dec. 10 with one count each of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia. According to court records, Gardner was arrested during the search of a house at 255 Roupe Road after methamphetamine and a pipe allegedly were found. Her trial was set for Feb. 24, 2010, with her next court appearance on Jan. 28, 2010.

Robert O. Walberg – Walberg, 51,

Sequim, had one count of first-degree theft against him dismissed on Dec. 11 without prejudice, meaning it can be refiled later.

Christopher M. White – White, 20, Port Angeles, was sentenced Dec. 9 on one count of second-degree assault. He will serve eight months in jail with credit for time served and pay $1,150 in fines and court costs. A second count of kidnapping was dismissed. He will be on probation for 12 months and is prohibited from contacting the victim. According to court documents, employees at the Chevron station in Carlsborg called 9-1-1 to report an assault and request an ambulance.

Deputies contacted the victim who said he was assaulted in the former Costco parking lot at 100 Hooker Road.

The victim said he went to the parking lot with $160 to buy two OxyContin pills. While another person left to get the drugs, White and another person assaulted the victim.
