From May 10-17, Clallam County Fire District 3 responded to 195 incidents with most of those emergency medical services (EMS) related. Staff said they believe fire prevention tactics have been working over the years.

To reduce 9-1-1 medical calls, staff recommend locals focus on a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, stress management, and avoiding harmful habits like large amounts of sugar or and excessive alcohol. Prioritize hydration and regular health checkups.
