Bjorklund, Daniels get WSU degrees

Derik K. Bjorklund and Kelli Dawn Daniels of Sequim recently received undergraduate degrees from Washington State University following the conclusion of fall quarter.

Bjorklund earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in humanities-general studies, while Daniels earned a Bachelor of Science degree in food science and human nutrition.

Henninger named to Benedictine’s dean’s list

Ean Henninger was named to the dean’s list for 2010 fall quarter at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan.

Henninger was homeschooled through high school and graduated June 2010 with his Associate of Arts degree from Peninsula College.

He is double-majoring in English and Spanish with a minor in theater arts.

To be named to Benedictine College’s dean’s list, students must maintain a 3.50 grade-point average.

Gentle Paws come to library

Olympic Gentle Paws will have their dogs at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody Street, from 11 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 19.

“Our dogs love books but can’t quite say the words,” says Chris Cornell of Gentle Paws, “so we are looking for lots of youngsters to come to the library and read to them.”
