Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is continuing its Survivors Workshops Series: Practical Advice to Living Alone, with a focus on financial management from 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. in Sequim.

Mark Harvey of the Olympic Area Agency on Aging and Phil Castell of Castell Insurance will present.

Workshops are free but space is limited and registration is necessary by calling 452-1511.

These survivors workshops, which started in June and are continuing through September, have been focusing on different areas of living faced by a spouse survivor after the loss of a loved one. The series has addressed home and car maintenance, cooking and shopping for one, and will end with a session on self-care.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, a nonprofit organization almost entirely staffed by volunteers, is continuously looking for people to deliver equipment, offer respite to caregivers, answer phones in the office and much more.

Contact the volunteer services manager at 452-1511 for more information.
