The Washington Department of Transportation has made several announcements in response to the current COVID-19 emergency.
According to a press release, Washington State Ferries will remain on their winter sailing schedules through at least April 25 due to reduced demand.
Washington State Ferries had already canceled service to Sidney, British Columbia on its Anacortes — Friday Harbor route due to border closures.
The department also closed Good to Go! walk-in customer services centers in Bellevue, Gig Harbor and Seattle on Saturday, March 21 until further notice.

The department also extended the deadline for removing studded tires until April 30.
Normally studded tires may only be used in Washington between Nov. 1 and March 31.
James Morin, a WSDOT maintenance operations branch manager said, “We recognize this is not a time for ‘business as usual.’ People are dealing with a lot of concerns and trying to get tires changed by the end of the month doesn’t need to be one of them.”
Because of declining ridership, Amtrak trains in Washington will be reduced to two round trips per day, service to Vancouver, B.C., has been suspended. Trains will stop at all stations, but some stations may only have platform service. Additionally, food service on all trains has been suspended.
