It took until the last game of the regular season, but Sequim’s baseball squad is headed to the playoffs.

Nick Johnston pitched one out away from a complete game baseball and Daniel Harker drove in four runs as the Wolves (10-6 in Olympic League, 12-7 overall) knocked off Bremerton 8-4 at home Monday afternoon. The win puts Sequim in second place behind league champ North Kitsap (11-4, 12-6).

Against Bremerton, Johnston was wild but effective, walking six and striking out nine and giving up just three hits. The Knights (8-7, 9-8) got to Johnston and reliever Zach Rigg for four runs in the seventh inning but Sequim held on for the critical win.

Brett Wright had three hits, Evan Hurn doubled and singled, and teammates Dusty Bates, Ian Dennis and Tanner Rhodefer each drove in runs to pace the Sequim offense, which jumped on Bremerton starter Casey Winderl for five first-inning runs.
