Mikey Cobb, a 2015 Sequim High School graduate, is a freshman at North Central College in Naperville, Ill., racing for the top-ranked Division III cross country squad.

On Oct. 2, Cobb took 51st place out of 169 runners at the Illinois Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships in Bourbonnais, Ill., finishing the 8,000-meter course in 27:28.4. North Central, which sent a squad of runners to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational the same day (and took second here), took third in the team standings at the Illinois Intercollegiate invitational.
