Sequim’s girls soccer squad lost another squeaker 5-4 in a back-and-forth affair that went Kingston’s way on Sept. 27.

Jessica Dietzman scored two goals in last week’s match at Kingston, while Hope Glasser and Yana Hoesel each scored a goal.

Sequim coach Derek Vender Velde said keeper Addie Smith made at least five saves in the match.

The Wolves (0-6-0 in league play, 1-7-1 overall) have two one-goal losses and two losses in penalty kicks this season, including a 1-0 loss to North Mason on Sept. 25.

Vander Velde said the Wolves’ players are remaining resilient.

“I think the second half is going to be better for us,” he said.

Sequim was slated to play at Port Angeles on Oct. 2.

The Wolves host Bremerton on Oct. 4 and are at Olympic on Oct. 9 in Silverdale.
