Cedars’ Lady Niners pick 2017 officers, club champion

The Cedars at Dungeness’ Lady Niners group selected new officers for the 2017 season. They are: J.P Pearsall, president; Carol Ormsby, co-captain; Lee Stanley, secretary, and Cherste Nilde, treasurer. Club champion is Pat Conway. Olympia Brehm recorded the most birdies for the season with seven. Ormsby was selected the most improved player.

Port Angeles hosts ‘Tip-Off tourney’

The Port Angeles Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the Tipoff Tourney, Nov. 12-13. The youth basketball tournament has divisions for boys and girls teams in grades 4-12. Klahhane Gymnastics adds classes

To accommodate growing interest, Klahhane will add two new classes to the schedule in November.

A Tuesday class from 4-5 p.m. for youths in grades 1-5 started Nov. 1. A new Kinder-Gym class for kindergarten students will be added on Mondays 4:15-5:15p.m. starting Nov. 7.

This classes replaces a Pre-Gym class on Mondays. There also is a change of time for the Pre-K gymnastics class on Mondays. As of Nov. 7, that class meets from 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Call 457-5187 between 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. for information and availability in all classes.

Registration in person at the gym (318 E. Acorn Lane, Port Angeles) with payment by cash/check is required to required to reserve class space.
