The Cedars hosts ‘Joker’s Wild’ tourney

More than two dozen Lady Niners from The Cedars at Dungeness welcomed 40 golfers from Lakeland Village, Discovery Bay, Port Townsend, Sunland, SkyRidge and Port Ludlow golf clubs on July 10 for the “Joker’s Wild” Nine Hole Invitational.

More than two dozen Lady Niners from The Cedars at Dungeness welcomed 40 golfers from Lakeland Village, Discovery Bay, Port Townsend, Sunland, SkyRidge and Port Ludlow golf clubs on July 10 for the “Joker’s Wild” Nine Hole Invitational.

First place honors went to Cassandra Docking from Cedars, Shelley Peterson from Discovery Bay, and Christie Wilson and Teri King, both of Sunland with a net score of 28.  A very close second place, also with a net score of 28, required a scorecard playoff; the prizes went to Lilli Gomes and Lisa Ballantyne, both from Cedars, and Joanne Quiring of Lakeland Village, and Judy Munden of Discovery Bay.

Judy Kelley, from Sunland Golf Club won the ultimate putting contest in “sudden death” while Lady Niner Jan Boyungs won the chipping competition.
