Sequim Library hosting LEGO Maker programs

The Sequim Library is home to a block party of sorts this spring.

Create, play and tell a story as the Sequim Library hosts two free LEGO Maker programs from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, and Saturday, May 20.

Libraries from around the country offer programs using LEGO bricks to encourage young people and families to play and build together.

Program participants are encouraged to write a story about their creation, which will be photographed during the program. LEGO bricks and creations will remain in the library at the conclusion of each program.

All ages are welcome, although parents or caregivers are asked to accompany all children under 8 years of age. All materials are provided.

The library’s LEGO brick collection was built with the support of the the Friends of Sequim Library, Port Angeles Friends of the Library, North Olympic Library Foundation and the Girl Scout Troop of Western Washington.

For more information about these and other youth programs, visit www.nols.org and select “Youth,” or call 683-1161.

The Sequim Library is at 630 N. Sequim Ave.
