WOW! workshop in Sequim presents ‘The Full Scope’

Dr. Colin Wolslegel presents “Gastroenterology: The Full Scope,” a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum, starting at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

Wolslegel says that caring for patients is what drew him to medicine and will continue to be the driving force behind his work. His philosophy is that he and his patients are a team working together to individualize treatment plans that each patient is comfortable with.

The field of gastroenterology allows Wolslegel to treat acutely ill patients who need life-saving procedures, to care for patients with chronic diseases, and to help prevent occurrence or progression.

A “good gut” is important because a healthy digestive system contributes to good overall health, Wolslegel says. Symptoms of acid reflux, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating and constipation can all be signs of various gastrointestinal conditions. But learning the right habits can help your digestive system break down foods properly for better energy, growth and cell repair.

Seating is limited so please arrive early.
