‘Casino Night’ helps fund PC athletics

Tickets are still available for the 2019 Pirate Casino Night, Peninsula College Athletics’ annual signature fundraising event for athletic scholarships, set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 Cedars Casino in Blyn.

The event features a buffet dinner, silent auction, live auction, a student-athlete speaker, games and entertainment. The evening’s events are followed by music and dancing to the band Mr. Pink.

“This is the one night that our community can really make a difference in the lives of our student athletes,” said Rick Ross, Associate Dean for Athletics and Student Life.

Last year’s event raised about $40,000 toward scholarships and the college is on target to reach that number again this year, event organizers say. The event has sold out the past two years and organizers recommend reserving seats early.

Tickets are $90 each or $720 for a table of eight. For more information or to reserve a seat, contact Donald Rollman at drollman@pencol.edu.
