Sequim JCPenney remains open after franchise closes 33 underperforming stores nationwide

JC Penney announced last week that it will close 33 “underperforming” stores across the nation and lay off 2,000 employees.

Based on a listing on the company’s website, Sequim’s JC Penney store is not among the closures.

There are no closures for Washington state.
