Milestone: Touring the Lavender

It was another big year for the Tour de Lavender.

The Aug. 2-3 event that includes two variations of area rides for bicyclist enthusiasts saw a jump in attendance from 178 riders in 2013 to 232 this summer.

“Riders enjoyed the weather, a great (and challenging) course and the lavender farms — lots of positive feedback and promises to return next year,” event organizer Tom Coonelly said.
