Diner supports PFOA
Black Bear Diner is hosting Dine To Donate from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. A portion of the proceeds (less tax and tip) will be donated to Peninsula Friends of Animals and will benefit its rescue, spay/neuter and community service programs. Just mention you’re dining to support PFOA.
Burdick earns certification
Dr. Penny Burdick of Mandala Healing Touch recently was certified by the Healing Touch Program as a Healing Touch Certified Instructor. This nationally accredited certification allows her to teach Level 1 Healing Touch classes and introductory presentations.
As well as offering individual healing sessions and teaching locally, Burdick also travels to Nepal annually to offer Healing Touch classes there.
Fudge shop opens for Valentine’s
The WeDo Fudge drive-thru will reopen for two days from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, Feb. 10-11, in time for Valentine’s Day. It will be closed after that until April 1. Until then, you can purchase fudge at Black Bear Diner, The Good Book or Agnew Grocery and Feed.
New classes at Sequim Gym
Sequim Gym, 145 E. Washington St., Sequim, has a new class schedule. Classes are included free with memberships or drop-ins are welcome. The new schedule has over 26 classes per week; call 681-2555. New front desk hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
New staff members are Ashley Liberty, fitness instructor and personal trainer; Shelly Haupt, fitness instructor; and Jackie Purvis, fitness instructor.
Free surge training classes set
Chiropractor Dr. Robert Bean will be teaching the principles of surge training to patients and their guests at his advanced health workshop at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. RSVP to 681-2414 as seating is limited.
At the free public workshop, all attendees will be given the tools to activate specific fat-burning hormones through a revolutionary exercise principle, stop their bodies from naturally storing fat and reduce the effects of aging via exercise.
