Cook joins Sound board
Sound Community Bank announces Kathleen B. Cook has joined the boards of directors of the bank and the Sound Financial Bancorp, Inc. holding company.
Cook brings to the Sound boards more than 20 years of experience in bank regulation, examination and oversight.
A graduate of Sequim High School and Ohio State University (bachelor of arts and law degrees), she is an active volunteer with both the North Olympic and Jefferson Land Trusts.
Free workouts in the park
Anytime Fitness of Sequim is hosting a free Workout in the Park every Saturday throughout May at Carrie Blake Park by the amphitheater at 10:15 a.m. This fun-infused workout will include a dynamic warmup, station training with certified fitness coaches, obstacle courses and more. Space is limited.

Depot appreciates customers
Sequim’s The Home Depot holds its fifth annual customer-appreciation “Mayhem” celebration from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 2. The event includes prizes, vendors, free cotton candy and snow-cones, child I.D., water testing and a children’s workshop.

Cherry Creek Mortgage adds Lewis
Cherry Creek Mortgage Company welcomes Alwynn Lewis to the Sequim office as a mortgage originator. In addition to experience in real estate, Lewis has an accounting degree and has been a practicing CPA.

First Federal aids NatureBridge
First Federal donated $500 to the NatureBridge organization, in support of the annual Evening on the Lake Gala, March 6 in Seattle. The event celebrates science and stewardship in Olympic National Park.
Funds raised at this event provide scholarships for classrooms to visit the NatureBridge programs at its Rosemary Inn campus on Lake Crescent, formerly called Olympic Park Institute.
