Friends and family celebrated the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Sequim Boy Scout Dylan Perreira on Jan. 20, in Trinity United Methodist Church.

Scoutmasters and fellow scouts with Troops 90 and 1492 shared scouting adventures and memories of Perreira’s time in scouts.

As part of earning his Eagle rank, he made planter boxes in June Robinson Park last spring for the City of Sequim.

Perreira, who started scouting at age 12, said his favorite merit badge to earn was swimming and his favorite adventure was hiking to Blue Glacier.

He graduated from Sequim High School in June 2017, and joins the U.S. Navy starting Feb. 6.
