Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is offering a Community Education and Volunteer Training series starting Friday, March 16, and running 1:30-3:30 p.m. for six consecutive Fridays (through April 20) at Clallam County PUD headquarters, 104 Hooker Road, Carlsborg.

The series provides a history and overview of hospice and the philosophy behind Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County; explores attitudes towards death and dying; delves into the grieving process and self-care, and offers hospice volunteer training for those interested in volunteering with the organization.

The sessions are open to the public and there is no charge.

As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing vsm@vhocc.org.

Operating with a team of registered nurses and trained volunteers, Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County supports terminally ill patients and their families emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Ongoing grief support services and loan of medical equipment are also available to anyone in the community.
