Gymnastics: Pfeffer, Wolves compete at state

Senior Lesea Pfeffer capped her prep gymnastics career with a top-30 finish on the balance beam to lead a quintet of Wolves at the state 1A/2A/3A meet.

Pfeffer’s score of 9.150 tied for 28th on the beam on Feb. 20, the top individual finish for the Wolves at the finals held at Sammamish High School in Bellevue Feb. 20-22.

Pfeffer also tied for 83rd on the floor exercise (7.575).

Gracie Sharp had a 35th place finish on the beam (9.050), while she and Sequim teammate Kori Miller tied for 44th on the vault with identical scores of 8.200. Gracie Sharp also took 68th overall on the uneven bars (6.400).

Miller added a 52nd place finish (tie) on the uneven bars (7.500)

Emma Sharp tied for 77th on the balance beam (7.975) and was 85th on the floor exercise (7.500).

Danica Pierson tied for 78th on the uneven bars with a score of 5.700.

Sequim finished 13th overall as a team with 77.250 points.

Lake Washington won the 1A/2A/3A team title with 185.725 points, with Sammamish second and Kamiakin third. North Kitsap was fifth.
